Imprelis is a post-emergent broadleaf herbicide that its manufacturer, Dupont, primarily sourced to turf care professionals such as golf courses and landscape providers.[1]  Imprelis became available in October 2010, and shortly thereafter, reports surfaced indicating that the Dupont herbicide was burning, deforming, and in some cases killing certain types of trees and shrubs.  In response to multiple complaints, the EPA launched an investigation into Imprelis in June 2011, which has just recently resulted in an EPA mandate to stop the sale of Imprelis in the marketplace.[2] These events have been reported by local and national media, and have already resulted in lawsuits being filed against Dupont for damages.
